Podcasts... again

Now that I've been introduced to podcasts I seem to hear about them everywhere! It may be because I now know what they are. I didn't realize how widespread there are. I was listening to the radio the other day and the DJ's were talking about listeners being able to go to the stations website to listen to podcasts. Who knew they existed in so many places?! Sometimes I feel so behind the times with technology. I'm still having trouble working my cell phone! Thank goodness my kids can show how things work.

  1. Ha ha, funny you should write this--I was just thinking that the other day. I think we are so exposed to a lot of these web 2.0 tools--podcasts, video feeds, wikis, blogs--yet I didn't put a name to them. I like learning about them because I'm finding out how easy they really are to incorporate into instruction. I don't know that I would've ever delved into some of these before. Now, it's as if I see an opportunity to use one of these in a lot of what I teach--even if it's just me making a podcast of one of my lessons for students to download later.

  2. I won't ask you to divulge your age, but I would imagine that I'm at least a couple of years younger than you, and I too feel unfamiliar with technology ... especially podcasts.

  3. Keara...I've been noticing the same thing! Never did I think twice about wikis, blog, and podcasts. All of a sudden you hear about them everywhere. I guess it is just that we are more in tuned now.

  4. Even I have noticed more and more about podcasting. A lot of the blogs that I visit regularly even have podcasts! All of the technology mixing together!
