Right now we are working on creating a PSA for our wiki using a flip camera. I think my students would enjoy using the flip camera in art class. It would be a great tool for students to use to explain art concepts, artists and so much more. I think I could make it work within my limited class time. The editing would be a whole other story.
I wonder at what age could students handle working with the editing of a video?

I asked that same question on my blog. I would think that in the elementary school you could be at the computer and you could ask the kids what the wanted done and you could do it on the computer. By 8th grade or later and I think they could do some video editing on their own.
ReplyDeleteI too have interest to use the flip camera with my students. However, with kindergarten students there is NO way for them to edit without me losing my sanity!!
ReplyDeleteI too would love to use the flip camera with my third graders, but I have to agree with Beth on her sanity comment. I would definitely have to edit it whole group on the Promethean board.
